Weekend mode starting now! Quick dinner with fish, rice and veggies, Guitar Hero with 2 of my hubby’s cousins. Maybe a glass of wine. Tomorrow more work.
I still have jewelry to finish and photograph from my last batch, and so many new ideas that I want to get to. I keep having this overflow of ideas, which basically means I’ll think of something, obsess over it for a while, then comes the next idea. Same thing all over. I just wish I had enough time, materials, tools and knowledge to actually make all of them real!
I doubt I’ll have time for much else, but if I do, I want to go buy some paint and get working with brushes and a roller. Oh the fun :)
(Most importantly though, I want to finish redesigning my website! I’m almost done and can’t wait to let it go live!)
How are you spending your weekend?

…and more to come tomorrow, both earrings and bracelets if I have the time! The blossom pendant still needs to be listed in my Etsy shop, and I need to add a few more pictures to the vassonite one.

Right now, it’s all about lace. I’m dreaming up jewelry designs where I can incorporate it, and I’m coming up with a whole bunch of other projects as well (which I totally don’t have the time for!) Have a look at some of my favourites below!

On Saturday I’m going to spend some time at the market searching for lace. I think there’s also a gemstone fair the same day that I’d like to go to, but right now I’ve got enough gems to work with and not nearly enough lace :)

I’ve been having an inspired, productive day today! There’s now 1 pendant, 3 bracelets, and 1 pair of earrings waiting for the finishing touches and to be photographed, then they’re off to my Etsy shop! (Not to mention all the other jewelry that needs a little more than just the finishing touches…And all the new projects I want to start on.)
In other news: Tomorrow is the first day of my second year in school to become a goldsmith, and I’m so looking forward to it! Only cloud on my sky is that I’ve been sick on and off for the past 2 weeks, so I hope I’ll be able to manage the day tomorrow. Nah, of course I’ll manage!

Photos of the new jewelry will most likely appear tomorrow evening, unless I’m too exhausted to pull out the camera and the light box, then it will be Thursday!
Hope you’re having a productive, good, happy week so far!

Gorgeous items from Spiro Creations (The Leather Tinkerbell Ballet Flats) and Tickled Pink Knits (The Rococo Shawl). I found out that Tickled Pink Knits also sell Pdf patterns for the ones that want to try their hand at knitting one of these gorgeous shawls.
Hope these finds bring an extra dose of sunshine into your day!

Time for Color Week again, it’s been a while! This time yellow. I’m going to post a few times this upcoming week about items in yellow that inspire me…
Do you have any yellow favourite items? Favourite photos? Listings on Etsy? Let me know :)

In the photos above: Sunflowers in the bouquet we got from my husband’s colleagues after we got married.
Anyone ever driven past these type of huge sunflower fields you see in some photos? We saw some in Italy a couple of years back, but the fields weren’t that close to the road. If you’ve seen “Everything is Illuminated”, that’s the type pf fields I mean. Love.

Almost, at least. I start on Wednesday! Before I start off the new school year, there are a few things I need to do.
1. I need to get a better transportation system for all my tools. They’re getting quite heavy and it’s a bit unorganized to carry them in a bag. (A bit?? No it’s really much too unorganized. Need to be solved, pronto.) There’s this alternative which looks like a tool case on wheels, something similar would suit my needs!
2. I need to buy a train card.
3. I need to finish 3 sets of brass links. We’re starting this year off with a three dimentional silver necklace, and to prepare for that we’re making 3 sets of test links. I’m not sure about this being my type of jewelry, but a challenge is always nice!
…And then there’s all the other things I wish I had time for before school starts. But good news is that going back to school means I’ll learn more new techniques that I can use for UlvDesign. I can’t wait!
What are your plans for this fall/autumn..?

Let’s talk favourite colours….For me, I’d say it’s pink and yellow that are in the lead at the moment. They have been for quite a while.

{Photo is linked directly to it’s source}
It’s funny though, I’ve noticed that my favourite colours have changed A LOT over the years. When I was little I had a period when I would wear only white, followed by a period of only pink. I had a time when purple was all that, and then black. Pink was a big no-no.
Do you recognize this in yourself at all?
Right now I’d say my favourites are pink, yellow, orange and turquoise. And just to balance it all out, I’m also quite fond of grey lately.
What are your favourites and have they always stayed the same or are they changing?

I’ve been thinking of how to describe our day here on my blog, but I think I’ll have to leave it with one word. Wonderful. It was truly wonderful, and I’m so thankful to everyone who’s put time and love and effort into helping us.

I’ll be back with some new UlvDesign news in the next couple of days…until then!
xo,

This evening we’ll be on our way to Sweden… I may post a few times during our stay there, but I’m likely to be very busy and won’t be spending much time by the computer :) I will check my email every now and then though, so you can always contact me if needed!
xo,
